Sociocultural Level of Analysis
In other words, sociocultural level of analysis is social psychology. It is a study of how the social construct and factors that affect the way you behave in society. There are four main principles that define SCLOA and those principles are:
1. Human beings are social animals with a basic need to belong.
2. Humans have social identity/social self
3. Culture influences behaviour.
4. our views of the world is resistant to change.
Apart from these main principles, there are still many other factors that affect social psychology. SCLOA is an important chapter in IB Psychology because you can relate it to almost every topic and your own personal life.
